Abstract

This collection contains the Virgina Tech-related papers of Sidney B. Jeffreys (1909-1986), a 1931 graduate who, as an alumnus, played an active role in promoting and developing the university. The collection contains coursework, extracurricular ephemera, correspondence, reports, and printed materials. Abstract This cadet blouse is navy blue with black lining, and sleeves lined with off white. It is possibly made of wool and cotton. Abstract

The William Martin Johnson Papers include both personal and professional correspondence, ranging from November 1932 to March 1977. Johnson wrote to representatives at Public Works, American Society of Civil Engineers, the Department of Architectural Engineering at Virginia Polytechnic Institute, and the War Assets Administration, among others. Johnson (1904-1991) graduated from VPI in 1928 and worked as a Civil Engineer for Wiley and Wilson in Lynchburg, Virginia.
