Abstract The Cadet Uniform Hardware and Insignia collection consists of various donations of hardware and insignias. Five identicial gold V.A.M.C. buttons belonged to Frank H. Terry and are from 1877-1879. In the center of the buttons is the Virginia Agricultural and Mechanical College seal. Samuel Edwin Carnahan Diploma

Abstract

Samuel Edwin Carnahan (1884-1970) graduated from Virginia Agricultural and Mechanical College and Polytechnic Institute (VPI) in 1907 with a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. The collection contains his 1907 VPI diploma, signed by VPI president John McBryde and the Board of Visitors.

This collection of materials about accusations in student hazing incident at Virginia Polytechnic Institute, subsequent disciplinary actions by the university's faculty, actions taken by the Board of Visitors, appeal by Judge George L. Abstract

The hood is black with a red, sliver, and white lining. A tag on the lining near the neck of the hood reads "THE C.E. WARD CO. NEW LONDON, OHIO 3."

The robe is also black in color with dark blue velvet strip details down the front and on the sleeves. A tag inside of the robe reads "R.J.H. INTERCOLLEGIATE BUREAU COTRELLS LEONARD ALBANY, NNY. U.S.A. MAKERS OF THE CAPS, GOWNS AND HOODS TO THE AMERICAN COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES."

This scrapbook contains photographs and memorabilia dating 1918-1926 from United States Military Academy (West Point) and Virginia Polytechnic Institute (VPI) by Bertram A. Holtzworth, who attended VPI before graduating from West Point in 1927. He served in the U.S. Army from his time as a cadet at West Point until his retirement as Major General in 1963.
