Biography
The Banks family includes the descendants of William "Willie" M. Banks (1877-) and Bettie Francis (Sandidge) Banks (1879-1940) of Temperance, Amerherst County, Virginia. Willie and Bettie had nine children: William Andrew (1903-1945), Loyd (c.1904), Myrtle Alice (1905-1974), Edward (1908-1952), Louis (c.1913-), Pearl Bettie (1916-2000), and Mayo Junior (1920-1999).
Eva M. (Banks) Mills (1897-) married Floyd B. Mills.
Clarence Norvell Banks, Sr. (1900-1948) married Marie Elizabeth Owens (c.1900-) and they had two children:
Margaret Irene (Banks) Sheppard (c.1923) who married William Eugene Sheppard.

Abstract
The Rice Family Papers include decades of letters to and from four generations of the decendents of Jerry Rice of Campbell County, Virginia. The majority of the letters were sent to Nannie Mae (Rice) Banks but there are also letters addressed to her father, Fletcher, her mother, Georgianna, and other members of the family.
