Biographical Note
Elias Crabill, son of Abraham and Rebecca Huddle Crabill, was born on January 8, 1826, near Strasburg (Shenandoah County), Virginia. He married Elizabeth Drew Kern (1840-1906) in 1868, and the couple had seven children. Elias Crabill died on July 26, 1890, in Strasburg. Zea & Pirkey was a general mercantile business in Strasburg, Virginia during the Civil War.
