Ottinger, C. Wayne, 1933-
Biographical Note
Aerospace engineer C. Wayne Ottinger (b. 1933) served as managing director of PAT Projects, Inc., which existed from 1994 until about 2002. In 1960, he joined NASA, eventually working on the Lunar Landing Research Vehicle project for the Apollo program. He left for Bell Aerosystems in 1966 to work on the Lunar Landing Training Vehicles project, also used in the Apollo program. In 2008, Ottinger founded Aerospace Legacy Engineering & Technology Recovery Organization (ALETRO), a non-profit that "help[s] locate, preserve, and present the technical information from America's space race."
