From the Collection:

This collection contains 33 black & white photographs taken by Dale Belcher, of Floyd County, Virginia. The photographs depict Appalachian people, buildings, and traditional culture in Floyd, Lee, Montgomery, Patrick, and Scott counties, Virginia; Kentucky; North Carolina; and West Virginia. On the reverse side of each photo is a descriptive note by Belcher. Included are the following photographs: cabin (Carroll County), cornfield (Floyd County)(2), school near Terry's Fork (Floyd County), old wagon and wooden corn planter at Mabry Mill (Floyd County), John N.
