Scope and Content
The Charles P. Greer Letter contains a typed missive to C. J. French of Roanoke as well as a broadside advertising the auction of property in Troutdale, Virginia. In this letter of 1947, Charles P. Greer proposes the purchase of 9.5 acres of land being auctioned off in Troutdale. Greer plans to turn the land into a private fishing pond, utilize the water for power, and build a twenty-foot high stone and cement dam.
