Map encompasses the area from the Mississippi River to Nova Scotia and the Gulf of St. Laurence, detailing the borders of the United States as prescribed by the Peace of 1783. Includes an ornate engraving surrounding map title. Reproduction contains historical commentary on the map's reverse.

Map is printed in colors. It shows the states of Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina, with insets of Richmond and Charleston, and southern Florida at a reduced scale. Contains a key that identifies various railroads and canals.

Tourguide map is in two parts, one on each side. Side A contains Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, and West Virginia, and Side B contains Pennsylvania. Map also contains mileage chart, city & town index, explanation of symbols, and motor laws.

Map contains an engraving of a large-masted ship, with a seal of the United States affixed to the foremast. Additional details include Bermuda, an inset of southern Florida, and a listing of individual states and their capitals. Reproduction includes a booklet by Lester J. Cappon, explaining the context of the map and the reproduction process.

Also includes an illustration of Niagara Falls and the "Industry of ye Beavers of Canada."

Map encompasses the area between northern Florida and Maine. It likely comes from Isaac Weld's Travels Through the States of North America. Note in upper right indicates places where Christian Indians resided. Reproduction is in negative format.
