The Records of Virginia Tech Dining Services comprise award submission scrapbooks for events and dinners hosted by the Dining Services department of the Division of Student Affairs that were compiled and submitted for awards from 1994 through 2013. A 2009 schematic design for the food court Turner Place at Lavery Hall is also included.

V.A.M.C. Cadet Coatee

Abstract

The collection contains a blue grey Cadet coatee from Virginia Agricultural and Mechanical College. The material consists of wool and cotton lining with some tears in lining. Several buttons missing from the front of the coat. Remaining buttons are gold colored with "V.A.M.C." above the college's seal. Tag on the inside collar of the coat reads "D. Klein and Bro. Philadelphia" Tag stitched into the lining that reads "Donated by Corps Jan. 1975."

Abstract

This collection contains an original cadet coatee from Virginia Agricultural and Mechanical College (VAMC) dated 1896. The coat belonged to Greenwood Hopkins Nowlin, Jr. (1878-1975) of Campbell County, Virginia, who attended Virginia Agriculture and Mechanical College (now Virginia Tech) from 1896 through 1899.

Carolina Rifles Coatee

Abstract This collection consists of a Caroline Rifles coatee possibly from c. 1861-1865. The coatee is a blue grey color and made of wool with a possibly quilted wool lining. The coatee has gold buttons with palmetto trees and "S.C." The back skirt is split in half with three buttons on each side and a black stripe under each button. John E. McDonald VPI Cadet Blouse

Abstract This cadet blouse is navy blue with black lining, and sleeves lined with off white. It is possibly made of wool and cotton. The blouse has a black stripe trim with plastic black buttons on the right, and hooks on the left. There are two gold pins on the collar of the blouse. One pin has "VPI" with guns crossing above. John S. White VPI Coat and Cape

Abstract The coat is navy blue with black lining, with red lining under the cape. There are gold diagonal stripes on the lower sleeves and six gold "VPI" buttons on the coat. There are eight smaller but identical buttons on the cape. Along the inside of the back of the collar is a small silver chain, and on the front of the inside of the collar are two silver hooks.
