After graduating from high school she moved to the Bulgarian capital, Sofia, to study architecture at the Sofia Polytechnic, graduating in 1950. She began her architectural practice at the Sofia Design Organization "Sofproekt" where she worked often in partnership with architect Olga Staneva. In 1956 Daskalova married a medical doctor, Nedelcho Milkovska, and had two daughters, Marina (1967-1994) and Silva. She continued to work until her mandatory retirement at the age of 60 in 1985. A few years later private practice was allowed and Daskalova opened her private office in Sofia (1989), designing mainly private houses around the country.
