The collection consists of a daybook with notes from a genealogy on the Hans Joist Hite Family.
This daybook was found in a box titled Gallaher Family, with two other ledgers: Household Management Ledger (Ms2012-085), and Olive Family Genealogy Notes (Ms2012-086). No obvious connection could be found between the three ledgers, so they were processed as separate collections.
The collection was acquired by Special Collections prior to 2008.
The processing, arrangement, and description of the Hite Family Genealogy Notes was completed in January 2013.
