Biographical Note
Henry Wysor (or Wiser, Weiser, Wyser) was born to Adam and Elizabeth Beck (or Turnipseed) Wysor on April 15, 1755, probably in Pennsylvania. He was an American Revolutionary War soldier, who served as a sergeant in the Continental Army, possibly in the 8th Virginia Regiment, known as Muhlenburg's German Regiment.
Wysor married Barbary An Ripseed [also Barbara Ann Rübsamen] on April 21, 1777. Barbary was born to Johann George and Eva Rübsamen on February 20, 1758, in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. They had several children, including George, Mary, Elizabeth, Henry, John, [Catharine?], Jacob, William, and James.
Barbary died on May 10, 1837, and Henry died on January 12, 1844. Henry is buried alongside several family members in the Wysor Cemetery in Dublin, Virginia.
