Scope and Content

This cape has a dark navy blue exterior with a red lining and black collar. There is a single blue metal clasp on the collar of the cape and a black cord frog just below the collar. The bottom of the exterior and lining have been hemmed under. There in an interior pocket in the red lining. The condition of the cape is good.

Administrative Historical

This style of cape with the red lining was commonly known to only be worn by seniors. The aspects of this coat can be seen as illustrated on page 42 of "Donning the Blue and Gray" by Harry Downing Temple.
