Abstract

The trophy is made up of two parts, the body/base of the trophy, and a small lid that rests on top. On the front of the trophy it reads "THE THANKSGIVING TROPHY FOR V.M.I-V.P.I. GAME TO REMAIN PERMANENTLY WITH THE SCHOOL WINNING THE THIRD TIME." The back of the trophy reads "WON BY V.P.I. - 1931 V.P.I - 1932 TIE- 1933."

Abstract

The records of the Virginia Tech Chapter of the Society of the Cincinnati in the State of Virginia primarily relates to the nominations from the Virginia Tech Department of History to the state organization's American History Prize Essay contest. This collection also contains two of the winning essays, one from 1984 and another from 1985. The department began nominating individuals in 1972.

Abstract The William G. Wharton VPI Cadet Uniform consists of three parts: a uniform coat, two pairs of trousers, and a overcoat with attached cape. The uniform coat is navy blue with black lining and is made of a wool blend with a satin lining.
