Scope and Content
This record group contains materials relating to the Women and Gender in International Development at Virginia Tech. This includes records documenting programs leading up to the current program, especially Women in World Development.
Sub-group I: Records of the Director of the Virginia Tech Women in Development Program, Mary Hill Rojas contains materials created and collected by Mary Hill Rojas in her role as director of the Women in World Development (WID) (later Women in Development and Women and Gender in International Development) program at Virginia Tech. Included are documents that led to the creation of WID, government and VPI publications and reports, newsletters and pamphlets relating to women in agriculture and development, a DVD of an interview, and professional documents from Rojas.

Administrative History
The Women in World Development was renamed Women and Gender in International Development. It later became Women and Girls in Development (WGD) and then Women and Girls in International Development.
