Biographical / Historical
The Society of Architectural Historians Women in Architecture Affiliate Group (SAH WiA AG) was established on June 10, 2020, and is an SAH Board-approved group of members of the Society of Architectural Historians who share a common scholarly or professional interest, aligned with the SAH mission, relating to the history and documentation of women's contributions to the built environment. The Purpose of SAH WiA AG is to promote research, provide a forum for ongoing conversations on areas of mutual interest, and foster collaboration among scholars through venues and activities including online resources, a listserv, panels, and conferences.
Founded at Harvard University in 1940, the Society of Architectural Historians is a nonprofit membership organization that serves an international network of institutions and individuals who, by profession or interest, focus on the history of the built environment and its role in shaping contemporary life.

Abstract
The Society of Architectural Historians Women in Architecture Affiliate Group Records are a set of electronic text and image files documenting the history, membership, and activities of the affiliate group of the long-standing international professional organization dedicated to studying the built environment.
Arrangement
Files arranged into two series: I. Governance and documentation; and II. Events and programming.
Individual electronic folders and files retain (roughly) their original titles and order, slightly modified and condensed for consistency, accessibility, and readability.
Source of Acquisition
Files were transferred to the archives electronically by Anna Sokolina, founder member of the Women in Architecture Affiliate Group, in July 2023.
