The collection includes a broadside advertising the sale of the Crockett Mineral Springs Hotel in Montgomery County, Virginia, as well as hotel equipment and land. It also contains a letter from S. S. Griffith to Dr. J. Harry Smith, written in 1930 on Crocket Arsenic-Lithia Springs letterhead.

Frances B. Deane, Jr. Letter
Letter from Virginia legislator Francis B. Deane, Jr., written to Montgomery County lawyer William Ballard Preston in 1857, suggesting Preston enlist the assistance of "Mr. Hunter" [U. S. Senator Robert Mercer Taliaferro Hunter] before traveling overseas on his mission to establish a commercial trade line between Norfolk, Virginia and Europe.

Martha Dillard Audiocassette Tapes
Oral history interviews (3 on 3 cassette tapes) conducted by artist Martha Dillard in connection with Watershed, an exhibition of Dillard's paintings of the Ellett Valley in Montgomery County, Virginia. Interviewees include T. Cartmel and Liz Brown, Anna Laura Tribble, and Josie Shotts about the valley of the North Fork of the Roanoke River. Collection also includes postcards and flyers relating to the exhibition. Interviews untranscribed, notes available.
