The Bedford, Virginia, Auction Ledger was written May 29-30, 1889. The Ledger contains descriptions of items sold, such as chain, and their buyers at the auction.

The Samuel Davidson Family Papers are a collection of correspondence, receipts, tax documents, miscellaneous notes, and more from 1823 to 1939. The family resided in Virginia, primarily Bedford County, Virginia, and the subjects of the collection include finance, the Civil War, and family matters, such as daily events and travel.

This collection includes the papers of Floyd Gray, Bedford County Republican Committee chairman and distillery general storekeeper-gauger for the Internal Revenue Service. It includes correspondence and notes relating both to Gray's political activities and his civil service work. Also includes personal correspondence and financial records.

Study of the Johnson Farm at Peaks of Otter in Bedford County, Virginia, managed by the Blue Ridge Parkway. Prepared by the Appalachian Studies Program at Virginia Tech (Dr. Jean H. Speer, project director). Collection includes an historic structures report and nine volumes of appendices.

The collection contains project files and drawings related to more than 1,500 residences, churches, businesses, schools, and community buildings, predominantly in the Roanoke and Southwest Virginia area, designed by Smithey & Boynton, mostly between 1935 and 1957.
