The collection includes a letter from Isaac Cox, 29th Regiment, Virginia Infantry, dated June 29, 1862. A private, and later corporal, Cox writes to his wife about recent regiment activities and travels. The letter was written on paper decorated with cut out designs.

This collection contains a scrapbook assembled by Frank C, Kitts, Jr., containing mementoes from his life during 1919-1936. He went to Tazewell High School in Tazewell County, Virginia, and was a mail carrier and member of the U.S. Guard Band. His scrapbook contains items such as letters, locks of hair, newspaper clippings, high school football and play tickets, calling cards, and poems.

This collection includes the photocopied typescript of the reminiscences of Harriet Eliza Lathrop, a native of New York who moved to Tazewell County, Virginia with her husband, employed there to oversee the opening of the Pocahontas Coal Field.

The Sarah Buchanan Preston Land Deed collection is a manuscript copy of a land transfer indenture statement for lands in Russell, Tazewell, and Scott counties, Virginia. The land was sold by Preston to John and Edward Fulton of Washington County, Virginia, in 1835.

The collection contains a cash ledger of the Radford Brick Company, which operated a manufacturing plant at Tiptop (Tazewell County), Virginia around the turn of the twentieth century.

The collection contains project files and drawings related to more than 1,500 residences, churches, businesses, schools, and community buildings, predominantly in the Roanoke and Southwest Virginia area, designed by Smithey & Boynton, mostly between 1935 and 1957.

Photocopies of genealogical research and records, including family Bible records, family group sheets, and pedigree charts relating to ancestors of Martha Ann Hite Tant, including the Agee, Brown, Davenport, Davidson, Floyd, Haden, Harman, Hite/Hight, Linkous, Marrs, May, Mills, Owen(s), Preston, Salmon(s), Scott, Shelton, and Trollinger families, of Henry, Montgomery, Pittsylvania, and Tazewell counties, Virginia, and elsewhere.

This collection contains the papers, letters, invoices and ledgers of Bert. T. Wilson. The papers largely pertain to his career as an attorney in Lebanon, Virginia.
