Isaac Cox Letter,
The collection includes a letter from Isaac Cox, 29th Regiment, Virginia Infantry, dated June 29, 1862. A private, and later corporal, Cox writes to his wife about recent regiment activities and travels. The letter was written on paper decorated with cut out designs.
Frank C. Kitts, Jr. Scrapbook
This collection contains a scrapbook assembled by Frank C, Kitts, Jr., containing mementoes from his life during 1919-1936. He went to Tazewell High School in Tazewell County, Virginia, and was a mail carrier and member of the U.S. Guard Band. His scrapbook contains items such as letters, locks of hair, newspaper clippings, high school football and play tickets, calling cards, and poems.
Harriet Eliza Lathrop Reminiscences
This collection includes the photocopied typescript of the reminiscences of Harriet Eliza Lathrop, a native of New York who moved to Tazewell County, Virginia with her husband, employed there to oversee the opening of the Pocahontas Coal Field.
