G. Preston Frazer Artwork
This collection contains eighteen (18) sketches and drawings created by G. Preston Frazer (1908-2003), a professor of art at Virginia Tech. The majority of the drawings depict scenes of Blacksburg, Virginia, and the Virginia Tech campus, though several of the drawings depict nude models. This collection also contains a sketchpad that belonged to Frazer.
William E. Garnett Papers
The William E. Garnett Papers consist of field notes, surveys, reports, class notes, letters to the editors of Montgomery County, Virginia, newspapers, and reprints of publications.
John Guthrie Scrapbook,
The collection consists of a scrapbook compiled by 1926 graduate, John Dennett Guthrie, containing photos and memorabilia of the cadet's years at Virginia Agricultural and Mechanical College and Polytechnic Institute.

Bernard J. Henley Papers
The collection contains a handwritten index compiled by Bernard J. Henley for articles about Virginia Polytechnic Institute, gleaned from Virginia newspapers, the bulk of the entries covering the years 1906 to 1959.
James Morris Hicks Letter
Letter from James Morris Hicks, a student at Virginia Agricultural and Mechanical College and Polytechnic Institute (now Virginia Tech) to his father, discussing cadet drilling, his recent election to the position of vice president of the freshman class, and replies to news from home.
Henry H. Hill Collection
The Henry H. Hill collection consists of historical and genealogical research compiled by Hill during his lifetime in southwest Virginia. Hill (1880-1954) was an alumni and professor at Virginia Polytechnic Institute.
Historical Photograph Collection (List of Subjects)
The photograph collection at Special Collections and University Archives consists primarily of historical photographs of Virginia Tech, dating back to the 1890s. The collection is also home to historic images of Blacksburg, Montgomery County, the New River Valley, and Southwest Virginia in general. A photograph collection of faculty and staff from the university is maintained separately.
William R. Hite, Jr., Scrapbook
This collection contains the scrapbook of William R. "Billy" Hite, Jr., when he was a senior at Varina High School in Richmond, Virginia. Hite played football at Varina and Virginia Tech, from which he earned a bachelor's and PhD in education in 1985 and 1998, respectively. He later became a principal and superintedent throughout the Mid-Atlantic United States.
