Clifford-Wysor Collection

This collection consists primarily of a two boxes pocket/folded maps and travel guides from about 1852-1955. In addition, there are severa folders of personal papers from the Clifford and Wysor families, some of whom are likely responsible for collecting the maps and guides. John Preston Journals

Abstract

This collection largely consists of journals written by John Preston in which he recorded his daily activities. Entries include accounts of his work with the Red Cross, home improvement projects, time spent with friends, and various hobbies such as golfing. The collection also includes some paper ephemera, collected by Preston in his diary from 1982. This includes photographs, newspaper clippings, golf scoresheets, and other memorabilia.

The Z Process Quick Freezing Collection consists of pamphlets and a photograph album. The pamphlets contain information on the quick freezing method developed by Mikhail Trofimovich Zarochentsev. The photograph album consists of images related to the freezing methods and equipments. The quick freezing method acted as a sanitary method to freeze seafood, meats, fruits, and vegetables and to maintain their nutritional values and taste.
