Audrey Emmons Architectural Collection
The Audrey Emmons Architectural Collection consists of architectural drawings, photographs and slides, and job files of designs Emmons did in San Francisco, Sausalito, and other Northern California locations from the mid-1970s until 1996.
"That Exceptional One: Women in American Architecture, 1888-1988," Exhibition
This collection includes a traveling exhibit created by the American Architectural Foundation of the American Institute of Architects about women in American architecture. The exhibit starts with Louise Bethune, who in 1888 was the first woman to join the AIA. Materials include exhibit panels, planning documents and research for the creation of the exhibit.
Krasimira Choneva Architectural Collection
The Krasimira Choneva Architectural Collection includes conceptual and working drawings as well as supporting documents for six projects. The projects range in date from 1958-1994 and were all designed and completed in Bulgaria by Krasimina Choneva. The collection also includes one biographical sketch written by Choneva herself as well as an additional biography written by Milka Bliznakov in 2007.
E. Maria Roth Architectural Collection
The E. Maria Roth Architectural Collection contains the personal papers, professional papers, and project files of a landscape architect working largely in New Jersey, New York, and Virginia. School work from Cooper Union and Rutgers University is included, along with a school notebook from 1940 made during the Hitler era in Germany. Projects largely conform to the following categories: schools, residences/neighborhoods, public and recreation areas, and furniture/structural designs.
Elise Sundt Architectural Collection
Elise Sundt (1928- ) was an architect in Vienna, Austria. She studied at the Technical University of Vienna, graduating with a diploma in Architecture in 1952. Sundt’s collection includes professional papers, publications, and documentation of exhibits from her professional career. Materials range in date from 1972-1988.
International Union of Women Architects (UIFA) Conference Materials
The International Union of Women Architects (UIFA) was founded in 1963 by Solange d'Herbez de la Tour. The organization aims to promote women in the profession by increasing the public's awareness of contributions made to the field by women and by creating a network of international colleagues. UIFA encourages the exchange of information through its regular conferences hosted by participating chapters from around the globe.
