Photographic album compiled by unidentified German soldier during World War II, including snapshot photographs of soldiers, civilians, armament, vehicles, scenery, and ruins in Budapest and elsewhere in eastern Europe.

Edward Everett Thompson (1911-1989) was a veterinarian who established the Salem (Virginia) Veterinary Hospital and a Major in the Veterinary Corps of the U. S. Army during World War II. The collection includes scrapbooks of a 1932 ROTC camp, Burma, New Guinea, World War II photographs, and China in 1981. A second scrapbook contains letters, cards, newspaper clippings, and photographs of politicians Richard Nixon, Dwight Eisenhower, Gerald Ford, Nancy Reagan, and Charles Robb.

This collection contains a scrapbook with pictures relating to the Red Cross Surgical Dressing Unit during World War II, newspapers, and genealogical records from Pikeville, Kentucky.
