The Thomas Creigh Letter is a missive written in 1858 from a Virginia assemblyman, representing Greenbrier County, to an unknown party concerning the state of Virginia's real indebtedness.

The collection is composed of materials related to Dickenson's research on Southwest Virginia African Americans from the Civil War until the present.

The Episcopal Diocese of Southwestern Virginia Records consist of the Diocese's administrative records, including incoming (often from parishioners) and outgoing correspondence, with a scattering of newspaper clippings, photographs, building plans and surveys, pamphlets, and meeting minutes, from the central administrative office in Roanoke and the churches within the Diocese.

This collection contains a survey plat, a certificate, and two letters that belonged to James Hoge and his son General James F. Hoge, two of the early settlers of Montgomery County, Virginia.

This collection contains seven ledgers and one letter from the estate of Isaac Horne (1801-1878) of Glade Spring, Washington County, Virginia. The ledgers show the Hornes owned a dry goods, fabric and tanning business. Transactions are recorded selling leather items to Confederate Soldiers during the American Civil War.
