Paul Metz Memo
The collection consists of a study conducted by Paul Metz that documents the use of subject collections for Faculty, Graduate students, and Undergraduate students. It includes a detailed description of the process and organization of programs used to analyze the frequency of use of library materials.

Charles L. C. Minor Cash Book and Edward P. Harmon Civil War Diary Collection
The collection contains a Civil War-era cash book of Captain Charles L. C. Minor, Confederate Army ordnance officer and first president of Virginia Agricultural and Mechanical College (1872-1879). Also contains diary entries of Union Army Private Edward P. Harmon, 5th Maine Infantry, for May-June 1864. Accompanied by research materials on the two soldiers (including maps, muster rolls, and pension notes) and a complete photocopy of the cash book/diary.
Records of the Virginia Tech Chapter of Minorities in Agriculture, Natural Resources, and Related Sciences (MANRRS)
This collection contains the records of Randolph Grayson on the Virginia Tech student chapter of Minorities in Agriculture, Natural Resources, and Related Sciences (MANRRS), dating from 1992 through 2014. Materials include scrapbooks, photographs, correspondence, and general information about the organization, divided into five series.
Robert G. Moore Collection
The Robert G. Moore Collection, 1910-1925, contains school notes and notebooks, correspondence, engineering drawings, memorabilia, newspaper articles, and his diploma from Virginia Agricultural and Mechanical College and Polytechnic Institute (VPI). The collection was compiled by Moore (1897-1925), a 1922 VPI graduate.
John Murray Papers
The John Murray Papers document the participation of John Murray, a Virginia Tech chemistry professor from 1942 to 1971, in Virginia's ornithological community. Collected materials include manuscript articles, scholarly correspondence, and bird watching logs which focus largely on Montgomery County, Virginia.
J. Preston Newman Papers
The J. Preston Newman Papers includes four poems (1935-1938, n.d.), as well as papers relating to Ralph Minthorne Brown, university librarian at Virginia Tech.

The Records of the Office of the President, Walter S. Newman consists of correspondence, financial documents, enrollment statistics, architects' contracts, audits, commencement and inaugural ephemera, statements to the Federal Power Commission, photographs, and reports on Virginia's public school system submitted to the Moses Commission.
Records of the Office of the Vice-President, Walter S. Newman
Walter Stephenson Newman (1895-1978) was the first individual to hold the office of Vice-President at Virginia Tech. His tenure began 15 May 1946 but only lasted until 1 September 1947, when he became the tenth president of Virginia Tech, serving from 1947 to 1962. This small collection consists of correspondence concerning curriculum revisions, letters from and replies to other colleges on various matters, and copies of memoranda to faculty and department heads.
R. C. Nichols Scrapbook
The R. C. Nichols Scrapbook is a scrapbook of Nichols'(1908-1976) time as a student at VPI from 1927-1931. The scrapbook contains dance cards, inivtations, newspaper clippings, photographs, and more. The scrapbook contains materials on subjects such as life as a cadet, football, and social events from Nichols' time at VPI and addtional years.
