Scope and Contents note

Newcomb College, a coordinate college of Tulane University 1886-2006, offered an industrial art program featuring pottery, interior design, furniture making, and many other arts and crafts in an effort to educate women in the "practical side of life" and also to provide employment for women at a time when few opportunities existed. The collection includes 18 original pencil drawings - 5 by Wanda Simmons (c. 1915), 1 by Ora Reams (1911), 1 by Phyllis Evelyn Reeves (c. 1920-1924), and 11 unattributed.
