Born 1938. Sociologist and head of the Department of History, Philosophy, and the Social Sciences at the Rhode Island School of Design. Has written on topics about residential communities in eastern Europe, particularly the former German Democratic Republic. Collection consists of a reprint of an article written by Rueschemeyer for Urban Studies (Vol. 30, no. 3, 1993) entitled "East Germany's New Towns in Transition: A Grassroots View of the Impact of Unification."
