Biographical Note

Shirley Mittleman Clifford was born June 2, 1923, in Philedelphia, Pennsylvania, and lived until November 20, 1997. Clifford served in the United States Marine Corps in the Women's Reserve from 1943-1945. In the collection, her Certificate of Registration stated that her occupation was housewife.

Abstract

This collection contains a number of personal correspondence between Shirley Mittleman Clifford and family while Clifford was living with her husband in United Kingdom. This collection also contains various financial and legal documents as well as a menu and program. Clifford (1923-1997) was a former member of the Women's Reserve of the United States Marine Corps.
