Blacksburg, Virginia, Bank Embezzlement Collection
The eight documents (ca. 1865) within the collection detail a bank embezzlement case from the Blacksburg Branch of the Farmers Bank in Virginia. Nicholas M. Ronald, supposedly swindled patrons into writing him checks that would pay off their account deficits. Much of the collection consists of testimonials attesting to that suspicion.
Business Section, City of Roanoke
Map shows business districts of Roanoke, Virginia, from 2nd Commerce to 2nd Randolph streets, between Franklin Rd/Tazewell Avenue and Salem Avenue, with business names and some tax statuses within plots of land. Reverse side gives historical, demographic, and business information about the city of Roanoke, as well as aerial photographs of the city.

Hidden History: The Black Experience in the Roanoke Valley Cassette Tapes and Transcripts
Oral history project designed to interview African-American residents of Roanoke, Virginia, on the cultural, social, and political history of blacks in the city. Collection consists of approximately fifty-five interviews. Transcripts are available for thirty-six of the interviews.
