Gitt. Gitt was born in Newport, Virginia, and attended the Virginia Agricultural and Mechanical College from 1877 to 1878. Gitt later lived in the Number 1 Barracks on campus and worked at the college doing various tasks for the cadets.
G.M. Davis Scrapbook
The G.M. Davis Scrapbook consists of photographs and paper emphemera from 1923-1928 documenting George Maslin Davis's experience as a Mechanical Engineering student and a member of the Corps of Cadets at Virginia Agricultural and Mechanical College and Polytechnic Institute (now Virginia Tech).

The coat belonged to Greenwood Hopkins Nowlin, Jr. (1878-1975) of Campbell County, Virginia, who attended Virginia Agriculture and Mechanical College (now Virginia Tech) from 1896 through 1899.
