The E. Fred Carlisle Collection contains records and publication related to Carlisle's careeer in higher education.

Samuel Edwin Carnahan (1884-1970) graduated from Virginia Agricultural and Mechanical College and Polytechnic Institute (VPI) in 1907 with a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. The collection contains his 1907 VPI diploma, signed by VPI president John McBryde and the Board of Visitors.

The Carneal and Johnston Architectural Drawings contains detail drawings, sketches, and tracings of several campus buildings at the Virginia Polytechnic Institute.

The collection consists of 23 glass dry plate negatives of architectural drawings made by the architectural firm Carneal and Johnston for various VPI campus buildings, including some that were never built, c.1910s.

This collection contains a packet of material assembled to nominate C. Hunter Carpenter, a Virginia Tech graduate, for the National Football Hall of Fame (today known as the College Football Hall of Fame). It includes photostatic copies of biographical information, photographs and letters from teammates and opposing players, including Charles D. Daly, J. Ambler Johnston, John R. Hutcheson, and George C. Marshall.

This collection includes memorabilia from Francis L. Carr's time at Virginia Polytechnic Institute from 1937-1942. It contains a variety of materials, such as a program, photographs, a letter, pins, and a certificate.

This collection contains administrative and teaching records, such as art course materials, departmental correspondence, photographs, and art exhibition materials from Dean Carter (1922-2013), professor and former head of the Art Department at Virginia Tech from 1950-1992.
