Virginia Brewing Company Letter,
The Virginia Brewing Company letter was written on September 27, 1909 by Louis A. Scholz, President of the company, and Henry Scholz, Secretary and Treasurer of the company requesting support for anti-Prohibition laws in Virginia.
Virginia Central Railroad Company Rental Receipt,
This collection contains a rental receipt for the labor of Isaac, an enslaved man. The receipt was issued by the Virginia Central Railroad Company in 1855 to Mrs. Elisabeth S. Lindsay and promises a payment of $175 to Lindsay after the one year rental period ends.
Virginia Confederate Election Ticket
The collection contains a Virginia election ticket for the November 6, 1861, Confederate election. It includes the names of candidates for sixteen districts; Jefferson Davis for President, and A.H. Stephens for Vice President; and state representative candidates, John R. Edmunds and Allen T. Caperton.

Virginia Elections Collection
The Virginia Elections Collection contains United States polls and ballots collected from Amelia County, Virginia, from 1804, 1808, and 1865. Some of the material pertains to election polls in the Confederate Army during the American Civil War. One of these is the ballot for an amendment to the Virginia Constitution, allowing former Confederate government officials to serve in the Virginia government.
