Abstract

This collection includes eighty postcards. Dated cards range from 1906 through 1995, but many cards are not dated. Cards depict various subjects including campus views, campus buildings, football, Corps of Cadets, and Blacksburg views. Some of the postcards are postmarked and addressed to recipients, while some are blank.

Abstract The Virginia Tech Academic Regalia collection includes: a gown, hat, and hood. The hat is black with a yellow tassel. On the inside of the hat it reads "Oak Hall Cap and Gown Co. Roanoke, Virginia, 7 5/8 in front of cap." The condition is good, some discoloration on inside. The gown is black and made of cotton. There are black velvet stripes on either side of the opening. V.M.I.-V.P.I. Thanksgiving Trophy

Abstract

The trophy is made up of two parts, the body/base of the trophy, and a small lid that rests on top. On the front of the trophy it reads "THE THANKSGIVING TROPHY FOR V.M.I-V.P.I. GAME TO REMAIN PERMANENTLY WITH THE SCHOOL WINNING THE THIRD TIME." The back of the trophy reads "WON BY V.P.I. - 1931 V.P.I - 1932 TIE- 1933."
