The Bedford, Virginia, Auction Ledger was written May 29-30, 1889. The Ledger contains descriptions of items sold, such as chain, and their buyers at the auction.

The S. S. Pierce Co. Order Forms are from the S. S. Pierce Co. grocers and importers in Boston, Massachusetts around May 1st, 1928. The order forms contain information on the prices of products sold at their store, such as ox tongue, chicken, aparagus, and pears.

The Adolph Samuel Bair Photographs were taken on the campus of the Virginia Agricultural and Mechanical College and Polytechnic Institute (VPI) during the 1920s. The photographs depict Bair, the campus, and the VPI Corps of Cadets. Bair (1902-1988) graduated from VPI in 1924.

The Clement Vaughter and John Fulcher Estate Inventories are legal documents from Patrick County, Virginia. They contain legal information, as well as the price of items such as a cotton wheel, dutch oven, and rawhide.

This letter was written by George Fitch, a soldier in the Union Army during the American Civil War, to his brother Charlie in a camp near Falmouth, Virginia, on April 11th, 1863. The letter contains information on a review conducted by General Joe Hooker and John Sedgewick, as well as a visit with president Abraham Lincoln.

The William F. Stadelmann Letter was written by William Stadelmann at the Holy Cross Mission in Provost, VA, to B. H. Meacham. The letter contains information rgarding the death of Meacham's father, and a prayer card.

The Parker & Co. Grocers Collection was possibly written some time in the late 19th century by Parker & Co. grocers , who were established in Hartford, Connecticut, in 1822. The colelction includes information on the prices of wine, mineral water, and cigars.

The William Fitzgerald Letter was written by William Fitzgerald of Company I, 2nd Connecticut Heavy Artillery of the Union Army in a camp near Petersburg on June 28th, 1864, and was addressed to his sister. The letter contains information on the condition of his regiment, where he traveled, and his family.

The William Sneed Correspondence was written by William Sneed, who served in the 45th regiment, North Carolina infantry of the Confederate Army during the American Civil War. The correspondence contains two letters during the Civil War that were written to a friend and a Miss Alice, and a tax collection letter.

The Rural Retreat High School Visting Cards were made for students at the high school in Rural Retreat, Wythe County, Virginia, around 1930. The collection include visiting cards and an original printing plate for a Miss Miriam K. Copenhaver. Other names on the cards include Bessie Louise Willard, Miss Edna E. Neff, Lewis A. Huddle, Garnett P. Miller, Mozelle Heldreth, and John A. Lindamood, Jr.
