George W. Viar Papers
Three certifications of disability from medical examinations of George W. Viar, a soldier Company E, 24th Virginia Infantry at Dublin, Virginia during the American Civil War, accompanied by a note from an unidentified wounded soldier.
Vine and Ashmead Patent
This collection contains a patent awarded to William Vine (1798-ca. 1872) and James H. Ashmead (1810-1880) of Hartford, Connecticut, for "machines beating gold".
William Vinson Letter
The collection contains a letter from Virginia House of Delegates member William Vinson (1819=1883) to his family at home in Wayne County, (West) Virginia, discussing his attempts in the general assembly to secure roads and mail routes, his children's education, health and weather conditions in Richmond, and winning local lotteries.

Virginia Agricultural and Mechanical College and Polytechnic Institute Financial Ledgers
The collection includes ledgers and pages of ledgers with financial records of the Virginia Agricultural and Mechanical College and Polytechnic Institute. It contains a listing of receipts from 1901-1906, a listing of Bond Holders under the Act of March 5, 1900, a listing of expenditures from 1900-1908, and insurance records and valuations for policies commencing 1906-1914.
Virginia Agricultural Experiment Station Farm Family Study (Grayson County, Virginia)
The collection contains data from a cooperative study of Grayson County, Virginia, conducted by the Virginia Agricultural Experiment Station and the U. S. Department of Agriculture's Bureau of Home Economics. The study includes raw and tabulated data on family members, education, health, income and expenditures, employment, housing, food, clothing, and household furnishings and supplies.
Virginia and Tennessee Railroad Letters
