John Holliday Diaries and Photographs,
The collection consists of two diaries written by John Holliday between May 1864 and July 1865, and five undated photographs (four believed to be of Holliday and one of his wife).
Huron, Ohio, Railroad Construction Photographs
This collection contains photographs of the construction of the railroad in Huron, Ohio, and images of the finished product. The photographs also include images of electrical substations. Some of the photos say W. & L. E. R. R., presumably the Wheeling and Lake Erie Railroad (also Railway).
IAWA Small Collections,
The IAWA Small Collections was compiled from a variety of sources by Special Collections staff for use in reference and research. The collection consists primarily of biographical materials for women architects, architectural historians, and designers including curriculum vitas, firm brochures, exhibit notices, photographs, and publications. Drawings, sketches, course notes, correspondence, and other materials pertaining to architectural collections are also present.
Ivanhoe, Virginia, Moonshine Still Glass Plate
This collection contains a glass plate with the image of a moonshine still near Ivanhoe, Virginia, c.1932. There are also two black and white prints from the plate.
Nelson Liddle Collection,
The Nelson Liddle Collection consists of photographs of the VPI Airport and aircraft during WWII as well as a photocopy of "The Beacon" newsletter from November 1942.
Abraham and Tad Lincoln Albumen Print,
The collection contains an albumen print depicting Tad and Abraham Lincoln reviewing a book. The image is 5-1/2" by 7-1/4' and is mounted on a larger piece of cardboard.
Abraham Lincoln Tintype,
The collection contains an Abraham Lincoln gem size 3/4" x 1" campaign tintype issued for the 1864 Presidential race.

This photograph depicts several men working at a quarry–possibly near Marion or Wytheville, Virginia.

The collection contains a photograph depicting a mock wedding enacted by children–eight boys and ten girls. The photographer's cardboard frame is marked "Davis, Roanoke, VA."
