Kerstin Dörhöfer Architectural Collection

Abstract Born in Dresden in 1943, Kerstin Dörhöfer (also Dorhofer) received her architecture degree in 1969 from the Technical University of Berlin, where she earned her doctoral degree. In 1979 Dörhöfer formed an organization for women's studies at the Free University of Berlin. Since 1986, Dörhöfer has taught at the University of Arts in Berlin. William Townes Letters

Scope and Contents

Thirteen letters with their envelopes from VAMC student William Townes to family members L. W. Wimbish and Mrs. L. W. Wimbish in Boydton, Mecklenburg County, Virginia over the period March 15, 1875 to November 2, 1875. Letters concern his expenses and need for funds and his wish for news of home. Also mentioned are boarding in town, opinions of Blacksburg, a masque ball, constant drilling, fellow cadets, and farm matters.

VPI Chemical Engineering Class Project Reports

Abstract

This collection contains four group project reports for experiments completed between August and September 1954. The projects were completed for Chemical Engineering 401, a class at Virginia Polytechnic Institute (VPI). R. H. Crewdson acted as the foreman of the group, which also included R. S. Luttrell and N. N. Bakhshi.

Edgar Knapp Letters
